image (17).pngThe Practice Education team ensure adequate training, preparation and support to a variety of multi-professional learners (including pre-registration students, newly qualified registrants, Internationally Educated Nurses [IENs] and new healthcare assistants/ support workers) and their mentors/educators/assessors. 

The Practice Education Team is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the learning environment. Quality assurance of the learning environment is assessed during annual education audit (Practice Placement Facilitator Team), review of post- placement learner feedback and / or training programme evaluations (for example; Care Certificate, Preceptorship and Overseas Nursing Programme)

The Practice Education Team work in partnership with Higher Education Institutes & Colleges as well as working collaboratively with department managers/professional leads for training & education within the organisation in order to achieve national directives and ensure that the Health Education England’s (HEE) Quality Framework Standards and Strategy from 2021 are met.

The trust is assessed against the HEE Quality Framework standards on an annual basis during the Annual Deans Quality Meeting (ADQM) to ensure we deliver a high standard of multi-professional education and training and in doing so, promote high quality care, patient safety and improve staff recruitment and retention.
