Undergraduate Education (Sunderland)

The University of Sunderland Undergraduate Department 

The University of Sunderland Undergraduate Department are responsible for 150 Medical Students from the Sunderland School of Medicine who are either based at our trust (Year 3, Year 4 & Year 5) or visiting during the early years of the programme. The students will be placed throughout all sites of the trust and both we (The UG Team) and the University of Sunderland are grateful for the excellent experience that our students have whilst here at the trust.  

Students should typically be seen wearing either grey scrubs or professional dress, paired with a standard pink lanyard, student ID card, and trust ID badge. 

The curriculum will vary depending on where students are in the programme and which programme they are in.  If you have any queries relating to students or the curriculum, please contact a member of the team.   

We are always available to answer any questions or queries from the ward or community teams.
