About the network
The vision for the Positive Health Network is to provide an opportunity for all staff across Sunderland and South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust - living with long term physical or mental health conditions (or those who have carers responsibilties) - to play an active role in raising awareness and promoting an understanding of these conditions in order to foster an informed workforce and build a compassionate and inclusive workplace.
The network is a confidential, safe space for staff and can be used to share experiences, provide advice and support, raise concerns and identify solutions, as well as genderate ideas for professional development.
Our staff networks exist to promote diversity withing the workplace, tackle the isolation that some colleagues experience, and be a critical friend advocating for equality, diversity and inclusion, We are not just a resource for idividuals but for the whole organisation.
