The Newcastle University Undergraduate Department

The Newcastle University Undergraduate Department looks after over 200 Physician Associate and Medical students from Newcastle University who are either based at our trust (3rd, 4th and 5th year students) or visiting during the early years of the programme.  The students will be placed throughout all sites of the trust and both we (the UG team) and the University are grateful for the excellent experience that our students have whilst at the trust.

Their curriculum will vary depending on where they are in the programme (and which programme they are in), but we are always available to help if there are any questions or comments from the ward or community teams.

A what to do if you have concerns about a student (of if you want to tell us how brilliant they have been)

Generally the students get along fine, but we all have times when things don't go according to plan or we need some extra support.  If you have a concern about a student (clinical, pastoral, education or anything else) then please let us know.
