Upon commencing with the Trust, all Postgraduate Doctors whether LET or Trust employed are required to attend a Postgraduate Doctor Induction Programme. This ensures that our doctors have all of the appropriate information and training required, whether that be classroom based or e-learning prior to commencing on their department.     

Due to COVID our Postgraduate Doctor Induction programme was changed and is quite different to what it used to be. We have condensed our programme to consist of the following;                                                                                                                                                                   

  • Registration and ID Badge Collection 
  • Meditech V6 (IT Training)
  • Resuscitation Training
  • Fit Testing

The majority of face to face sessions have been removed from our programme and added into an online presentation. This is sent out to our Postgraduate Doctors 6 weeks prior to commencement, which gives them enough time to read through and complete the necessary steps. This presentation is updated twice a year and any necessary amendments should be sent to stsft.PostgraduateAdmin@nhs.net      

Once our Postgraduate Doctors have completed the above steps of Induction, they're able to commence work on their allocated department.
