The Northern Foundation School
This is part of Health Education North East (HENE). Foundation training is managed and delivered through Foundation Schools which are established across the UK.

Medical Rostering
This team are there to support all doctors with the following services:
  • Help support doctors with information and advice regarding rota's, rota patterns and compliance arruance
  • Ensure rota design is undertaken in the spirirt of collaboration and consultation 
  • Ensure rota's are communicated in good time
  • Ensure rota's remain flexible and responsive to changing service needs
  • Ensure rota's are compliant against national contractual terms and conditions
  • Enure rota's can meet the requirements of a supportive work life balance
  • Provide centrally managed rota services to some departments 
  • Provide management service for all junior doctor exception reports
Please note all exception reports can be logged via ERota which would then be discussed between yourself and your CS.

Rest Rooms
If you are feeling particularly tired after a long shift, it is advised that you use one of the rest rooms which should be available at The Doctors Mess or within your department. In exceptional circumstances, there may be allowance for use of taxis but it is advised to use the rest room in the first instance. Please contact switchboard and ask for the business manager on-call for your department to arrange this.
