Non Medical Prescribing

Many STSFT staff are advancing their roles and have undertaken or are interested in Non-medical Prescribing (NMP) training to undertake independent and/or supplementary prescribing to better support our patient's needs.

Non-medical prescribing should be undertaken in accordance with the Trust's Medicines Policy.

The SOP applies to all members of staff who are non-medical prescribers registered with the trust and those who supply and administer medicines prescribed by non-medical prescribers, including staff who are locums, agency and on honorary contracts, working within STSFT.
