Following the completion of the approved training the Non-medical prescriber should inform their line manager and complete the appropriate documentation (which can be found below) to register on the trust database. The qualification and registration must be checked and confirmed by line manager.
Staff who already hold a non-medical prescribing qualification when employed by the Trust and are employed in a post were prescribing is appropriate, must first discuss their role with their manager and inform non-medical prescribing lead.
Upon receipt of the forms the non-medical prescribing lead will formally recognise the practitioner as a new non-medical prescribing and add their details to the trust non-medical prescribing register and database.
It is the responsibility of the non-medical prescriber to inform the trust immediately of any changes to personal details e.g. change of name, role, base, leaving date etc. This will be annotated on the trust non-medical prescribing register.
