A team that makes health information easier to understand has won an NHS Parliamentary Award.
A three-year programme is bringing together the NHS and councils with voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations to tackle issues and do more to prevent ill health in the first place.
On Wednesday 21 June, the Trust held its first Patient Safety Conference at the Beacon of Light, Sunderland. Two hundred and twenty two colleagues attended the event to celebrate success, stimulate innovation and share best practice in patient safety.
The set up mirrors systems already in place at Sunderland Royal Hospital.
