Staff access to South Tyneside HealthPathways – useful resource used in primary care

We’ve arranged for all colleagues at STSFT to have access to South Tyneside’s HealthPathways site.

The username is STSFT. The password is Staffaccess.

This is seen as an online instruction manual for our colleagues working in general practice. It will be useful to staff at the Trust in the following ways:

• It can support clinical staff to more confidently manage minor conditions outside their usual speciality.
• It can support consultants when triaging referrals to confidently know what expected primary care management should be. They can then tailor their advice back to general practice accordingly.
• It can be an educational resource for all staff.
• It has a directory of contact details for GP practices and other community services in South Tyneside.
• It has a feedback button that allows anyone using the site to flag details that are incorrect or out of date. This helps keep it up to date, accurate and more useful.
• It helps us understand the decision making of the person who saw the patient before us. This can only benefit patient care and experience.
