There are some options. Top up degrees are offered at our partner University. For eligibility please discuss with your line manager about an expression of interest. There will be two top up routes 16 month online programme from May 2021 (evidence of a UK diploma is required) and a 12 month face-to-face delivery (level 5 modules are covered) from September 2021.

What if my nursing qualification is not recognised in the UK?

The 12 month Programme may be suitable. You would need to discuss this with your line manager in the first instance.

I have post registration credits gained in the last 5 years can I use these to gain my degree?

Yes if studied at the University of Sunderland in the last 5 years these may be used towards the Professional Practice degree, which will be offered (subject to validation) in the late spring of 2021.

Who do I contact about my continuing professional development?

Your line manager should be the first person. The workforce team may be able to offer further signposting at the email address below for cpd@stft.nhs.uk
