The Fire Safety team is responsible for ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors within the Trust by implementing fire safety measures. They are tasked with maintaining compliance with relevant fire safety legislation and standards.
This team conducts regular inspections of hospital premises to identify potential fire hazards, such as blocked escape routes or damaged fire safety equipment. They also work closely with other departments within the Trust to develop emergency evacuation plans and provide training on fire prevention and response.
In addition to their proactive approach, the Fire Safety team plays a crucial role during emergencies by coordinating evacuations, liasing with the local fire service and providing guidance on minimising risks. They continuously review existing fire safety policies and procedures to ensure they remain effective while keeping up-to-date on advancements in technology or best practices.
Overall, this dedicated team works tirelessly behind-the-scenes to create a secure environment that prioritises prompt action during a potential fire outbreak – safeguarding both life-saving medical services offered within all Trust premesis as well as all those present inside them.
