This award recognises a team or individual who has made a significant contribution to the design, development or delivery of patient-centred research; demonstrating a commitment to the Trust’s objective to 'improve patient health and experience through high quality research'.   
 

Applications must demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following:

  • development and sustained commitment to a culture of research; 
  • increasing research opportunities for our patients, public and staff;  
  • impact of research through delivery or impact of research on practice; 
  • effective collaboration and partnership both within teams and/or with life sciences industry through research; or  
  • development of an infrastructure to support research careers.

Nomination Guidance

  1. The citation should focus on the impact of the nominee.
  2. Please provide enough context for the judging panel to understand why the impact was significant as they may not have much knowledge of the field. Why does this work? 
  3. How are they going above and beyond what they are expected to do? What are they doing differently?

General advice: Start with a sentence that summarises the impact that the nominee has had, follow up with the achievement; provide evidence to support the case.
