The Seven Day Hospital Services (7DS) is an NHS improvement and NHS England ambition is for patients to be able to access hospital services which meet four priority standards every day of the week.   Our role is to facilitate the Board Assurance Framework (BAF) assessment, work with clinical teams to improve compliance with the standards.

The national programme of work is currently paused due to the pandemic. The Trust maintains its focus and as part of the Non-Elective Recovery Programme of work a full baseline assessment of all 10 standards is underway, with the main clinical priorities being Standard 2 – Consultant review within 14 hours of admission and Standard 8 – Ongoing review.
