Medicines Governance Group

The purpose of the Group is to ensure the highest standards of medicines governance within the Trust, with particular reference to safety and security of medicines, and to provide assurance of this to the Trust board and its delegated bodies.

The Group will report to the Clinical Governance Steering Group and will oversee the following subgroups:

• Antimicrobial Stewardship Group
• PGD Approval Group
• Medicines Safety Group
• Medicines Governance SOP Group
• Medicines Governance Risk Group
• Omnicell Group
• Non-Medical Prescribing Group
• Opioid Stewardship Group
