The region's NHS warns that pressures across A&E, urgent care and ambulance services are still at extreme levels at the start of the New Year.

The NHS requires every Trust to take part in the National Quarterly Pulse survey, the "People Pulse." The survey for this quarter is now open and will run until 31st January. Please click "read more" to complete the survey - and make your voice count. The questions concern how we are engaging with you, how you are feeling and how we are supporting you with your health and wellbeing. This quarter there are also additional questions about flexible working and the cost of living. During our Big Money Team Talk roadshows in November many of you told us about how the cost of living crisis was affecting you. This is another opportunity for you to do this.

If it's not life-threatening, don't use A&E or call 999. That's the message from the NHS as the region's services gear up for a busy New Year weekend.
