A couple who help lead a hospital charity swapped their shop counter for the altar after finding love during lockdown.

A team of hospital nurses had a prickly situation to deal with late into Sunday night when an ill hedgehog found its way into the emergency department at South Tyneside District Hospital.

There is essential maintenance planned in the Chapel Prayer Room at Sunderland Royal Hospital from 21st August 2023 until 25th August 2023. During this time the Prayer Room will be closed.
