Thank you cards for clinical areas

We all understand the importance of staff recognition. Sometimes a simple thank you, can mean the most.  

Over the next couple of weeks, ward and department managers will receive a batch of ‘Thank you’ cards. We designed these cards as part of our Nursing and Midwifery Excellence programme. They will support our managers to create a culture of everyday recognition.

Managers can use these cards to thank any member of staff. Nurses, medical staff, Allied Health Professionals, domestics, catering staff, porters etc. Managers will receive enough cards for a year.  One card should be handed out per week.  

It is up to the manager to decide how they distribute the cards. For example, as part of an employee of month scheme. Or if the staff member has received a compliment from a colleague, patient or relative. Or if the manager wants to recognise someone that has gone the extra mile.
