Throughout October and November, we're holding our big health and wellbeing team talk.

As a Trust, we place a really high value on the wellbeing of you - our people - as well as our patients. Earlier this year we launched our workforce health and wellbeing hub, and we want to continue to share information and support you as best we can. 

We'll be hosting a number of talks and events, podcasts and videos, as well as freebies and competitions over the next two months. Plus - most importantly - we'll be launching some super important pledges which we know are very important to colleagues, and introducing some of our new teams too. 

We'll be covering lots of the topics including national awareness days/months as part of our big health and wellbeing team talk. Information about the events we have planned so far can be found below. Colleagues will be on hand to share resources and advice on support with topics such as menopause, female and male cancers, mental wellbeing, financial wellbeing and equality, diversity and inclusion. Be sure to keep an eye on this page, as we'll be adding more information across the weeks, about different events we've got planned. 

4th October Wellbeing walk. 12 midday. 20 minute lunchtime walk. Meet outside staff fitness centre, SRH.
10th October
Sleep session with Thrive. 12.00-1.00pm. Room 005, Education Centre, SRH.
11th October
Free hand/shoulder/neck and head massages from local beauty therapy students. ​STDH restaurant, drop ins.
12th October
Stoptober and female cancer awareness. 11.30am -2.00pm. SRH restaurant.
 
Wellbeing walk. Meeting at STDH (John Reid Road entrance) at 5:30pm. 1.6 mile walk (30 mins) around Temple Park.
14th October
Stoptober and female cancer awareness. 11.30am -2.00pm. STDH restaurant.
18th October
EDI #EverydayInclusion webinar. 9:30am via Teams.

Wellbeing walk in South Tyneside area. Meet at 2pm at the White Horse Pub, Quarry Lane, South Shields NE34 7QZ. Coffee stop at Marsden Grotto and return back at the White Horse Pub by 4pm. 3 mile walk.
31st October
Dr Bike @ SRH - free bike servicing and checks
 
Serve and Protect Credit Union will be doing walkrounds, talks and have stands at the following Trust sites:
9am - 10am: Children's Centre
10:30am - 11:30am: SEI (Boardroom. 30 min talk at 11am)
12pm - 2pm: SRH (Main concourse. 30 min talk at 1.30pm in the Education Centre 005)
3.30pm - 4.30pm: DTC 
 
1st November

6th November Wellbeing walk at Herrington Country Park. Meet in the car park at 10:30am. 3.5 mile walk (approx. 90 mins)
14th November
Mens mental health and gambling awareness. Stand at STDH restaurant 
16th November
Mens mental health and gambling awareness. Stand at SRH restaurant.
18th November
Men's mental health and gambling awareness. Stand at Sunderland Eye Infirmary.
21st November
Stop smoking and male cancer awareness. 11.30am -2.00pm. Stand at STDH restaurant.
25th November
Stop smoking and male cancer awareness. 11.30am - 2:00pm. Stand at SRH restaurant.
