The charitable funds Committee meets regularly to review projects submitted for funding from the Trusts Charitable Funds, projects of a value over £5,000 automatically go to the committee for review along with any deemed unusual by the Exec Team.
The committee reviews multiple proposals at its meetings, not all are approved, some a rejected as inappropriate, others may be differed pending additional information.

Project description
The aim of the project is to fund the employment of an Inclusion Advisor for 2 years, assisting the equality and diversity in its work dealing with the pandemic and its aftermath.
The post would support the delivery of the Equality Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, Equality Objectives and the national standards including WDES and WRES and accompanying action plans. The post would support operational delivery of mandated EDI work programmes and enable the EDI Lead to focus on strategic inclusion projects locally regionally and nationally.
The post would work to support the delivery of the:
Equality Strategy and work plans in line with the NHS People Plan.
Civility campaign – Undertake staff engagement and focus groups, project manage and evaluate the pilots.
Staff networks- operational support to the recently established groups
Patient engagement - community groups input into EDS2- facilitation of meetings with third sector and community groups and support to the delivery of the Accessible Information Standard.
