What we do

The Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgery also known as Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery unit is a sub-regional department providing outpatient, inpatient and surgical ENT services for adult and paediatric patients.  The department works very closely with the Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), Audiology and Speech and Language Therapy services.

The ENT Consultant team, supported by a team of ENT nurse practitioners and ENT nurses and HCAs, provide a range of subspecialty ENT services.

The ENT Outpatient department is based in Area 8 of Chester Wing. The Niall Quinn centre is a dedicated department for paediatric outpatients. Outpatient services are also provided at surrounding districts of Durham and South Tyneside.
