Resuscitation Service

The Resuscitation Service works across the trust with staff in the service based both at Sunderland Royal Hospital and South Tyneside District Hospital. We work across these sites and into other trust locations as required. Training is delivered primarily at Sunderland Royal Hospital and South Tyneside District Hospital.

Currently the DNACPR Policy is under review by the Deterioration Recognition and Resuscitation Group (DRRG) following organisational changes and the introduction of Meditech at the South Tyneside site. Once updated a link to the new policy will appear here.

• For ALS, E-ALS, APLS, ATLS and NLS please contact the Resuscitation Service – ALS Courses are provided in both Sunderland and South Tyneside localities – all other listed courses run at the Sunderland Royal site in the Education Centre.
