What we do

The Planning and Business Development Department is responsible for the management of the Trust’s Corporate Strategy including its vision, values and priorities. 

We manage and coordinate the Trusts planning framework Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures (OGSM). The Planning, Improvement and Programme Office (PIPO) also sits within Planning and Business Development.

Annual Plan

The department coordinates the Annual Planning Process for the Trust, which ensures alignment and prioritisation of resources to deliver the Trust’s key priorities. 

Business Development

The department leads, manages or facilitates new business developments including identifying opportunities, managing service reconfigurations or identifying service developments. These developments may be internal only or involve engagement with other stakeholders such as Clinical Commissioning Groups other providers etc.

Commercial 

The department provides a range of information/services including commercial information, market intelligence, tender facilitation, advice and guidance on AQP’s and  the department also sets and manages the business case process for both capital and revenue cases.
