How do I register a clinical audit?

To register a local audit the Clinical Audit Registration Form  should be completed and sent to the Clinical Effectiveness Department.  The audit will then be registered in the Trust Clinical Audit Database and support will be provided should this be required.

National audits are registered via the clinical lead for the audit.  The Clinical Effectiveness Department will liaise with clinicians to ensure registration is in the appropriate time period.

All clinical audits must be registered irrespective of the level of support being requested - this includes both national and local audits.

The registration form should be sent to the Clinical Effectiveness Department (see registration form for details).

Please note – for audits which involve external data transfer, sharing of data or involve auditors from other organisations, Caldicott Approval must be considered.  Please see the Information Governance and Data Security intranet page for full details.
