What we do

Sexual health clinics are available in various locations across Gateshead and South Tyneside offering a wide range of sexual health services including:

  • Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
  • Advice and information about sexual health
  • Free Community Testing & Condom Sites
  • Contraception – including Emergency Contraception
  • Pregnancy Testing
  • HIV Testing – including rapid result (30 min) tests and counselling and PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) – short term medication that can help prevent people from developing HIV if they've been exposed to it.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination
  • Advice about termination
  • Help for people who have been sexually assaulted
  • Referral to a specialist
  • Psychosexual Counselling
