NHS Blood and Transplant is urgently appealing for blood donors, particularly those who are group O.

NHS Blood and Transfusion, our provider of blood products, has issued an AMBER alert. This means there is a national shortage of blood. We have been asked to put in place a number of actions from midnight tomorrow night (Friday 14th October 2022).

Our £50 Allocate on Arrival incentive has been extended until Wednesday 30 November. Due to current pressures, the £50 incentive will increase to £100 for the late shift only up to and including Sunday 16 October.

Due to continued staffing pressures, we have extended the £100 NHSP allocate on arrival incentive until Saturday 8th October. This includes night shift.
