Winter vaccination programme – book your flu and COVID jab

A reminder that you can now book your winter vaccinations. You should have received an email inviting your to book via the OPAS system.  

PLEASE NOTE 

• You can book an appointment to have the flu and COVID-19 vaccine together or you can just have one of the vaccines if you would prefer. 
• Your email may have gone into your junk mail folder so please check this if you have not received it. The email will be sent to whichever address you have entered in ESR. 
• LET doctors, students and NHSP staff will need to contact occupational health on 0191 5699029. The team will then give you access to the booking system and will need your name, date of birth and email address. 

Why should I be vaccinated? 

As a health care worker you’re more likely to be exposed to the flu and COVID-19 viruses. You also care for people who may be at greater risk and it’s easy to pass these viruses on without knowing.  
Both flu and COVID-19 can be life-threatening and getting both flu and COVID-19 increases risk of serious illness. Even if you are healthy, you can still catch these viruses and spread them to your patients.
