We have listened to feedback from staff and further updated our staff testing and isolation guidance. Please note the key change below:

staff testing and isolation 11.5.22.PNG

Colleagues who have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 can return to work (regardless of vaccination status) if:

  • They have a negative LFT
  • Are asymptomatic and have had no temperature for 48 hours

When returning to work colleagues must:

  • Undertake LFT testing for 10 days and wear an FFP3 mask when delivering direct (within 1 metre) patient care. You can return to standard PPE at day 11.
  • Ensure that all IPC and PPE guidance is followed at all times.
  • Must not work shifts in B28, renal, ITU, ICCU, OHDU or Phoenix Unit until day 6 with a negative LFD and asymptomatic AND up to day 11 must wear a FFP3 mask throughout their shift in these areas (If it is their normal base area staff can be redeployed to other areas up to day 6 giving the operational team flexibility to move staff and return to usual base at day 6)

If you become symptomatic at any time you must leave work immediately and take an LFT test. If this is negative you can return to work. If this is positive you will need to contact the staff COVID-19 advice line.
