We have been awarded the NHS Pastoral Care Quality Award.

It allows trusts to recognise the work in international recruitment. It also show their commitment to staff wellbeing to potential and existing colleagues.

To achieve it, trusts must meet a set of standards for best practice.

These are co-developed with regional and trust international recruitment leads. International nursing and midwifery associations also play a part.

Our application was led by the NMAHP Workforce and Education Team.

By achieving the award, trusts show their commitment to supporting these colleagues at every stage as they join us and beyond.

Trusts that have achieved the award will be reassessed every three years.

Following confirmation of our award, Ruth May, Chief Nursing Officer for England, has written us a letter.

She said:

"We are delighted to congratulate you and your team on achieving the NHS Pastoral Care Quality Award.

"Thank you for your ongoing commitment to providing best practice pastoral support to internationally educated nurses and midwives.

"This award recognises the incredible work being carried out in your trust to ensure these colleagues receive enhanced and tailored pastoral care as they start their NHS journey and onwards in their career.

"We look forward to seeing your excellent work continue and to hearing more about the colleagues you have supported and all that they will go on to achieve during their NHS careers."
