Well done to our TOPIC team on being announced category wnner in the following category, at the HSJ  patient safety congress: Working with vulnerable patients.

Gail Tunstall, Quality Improvement Facilitator for TOPIC said:

"The idea for the Rise and Shine Game came from local artist and sculptor Bob Olley. The aim was to encourage a fun approach to physical activity, and prevent deconditioning for patients while they are away from home.

TOPIC further developed the idea and worked with games company, Focus Games, to produce a marketable product. A poster detailing the initiative was entered into the HSJ Patient Safety Congress competition.

The entry was successful, and won the 'working with vulnerable patients' category in the poster competition.

We are hoping to be successful in the overall poster competition. The winner will be announced at the HSJ Patient Safety Congress in Manchester, in September."
