We have put a number of measures in place to support staff during December and January.  Click here to read the full details and please read below for the latest updates: 

  • Free staff car parking – this is now extended for staff who completed a registration form for the new system by the deadline of 30 November. PLEASE NOTE – Any new registrations for staff car parking are now paused while we process the applications already received.  This means you must pay to park on site if you are not registered for staff car parking.  You may get a Parking Charge Notice(s) if you fail to do so. We cannot cancel these PCNs so please make sure you pay appropriately.  To read more detail click here.   
  • Weekly wellbeing delivery to clinical areas – from next week we will begin to deliver a weekly supply of tea, coffee and food essentials to support clinical teams during busy shifts.  We will deliver these to hospital wards and departments and community teams.  PLEASE NOTE – deliveries will be spread across the week across our various wards, departments and venues so please be patient and kind ????
  • Half price food in Trust restaurants – we have increased the current 20% discount to 50% off food and drink for all staff.  We know that in Sunderland the restaurant has been particularly busy.  We are getting another till installed to help with this.  If you can pay cash this will also help speed up the queue!  We are still finalising plans to offer some options for nightshift staff when the restaurants are closed and will share details ASAP.
