Sunderland Spine Forum 6th Annual Meeting

Mr Lakshmanan, Consultant Spinal Surgeon, chaired the 6th Annual Meeting of Sunderland Spine Forum at Sunderland Hospital Education Centre. 

Delegates who attended the day-long conference were treated to an array of presentations and interactive break-out sessions on Spinal Oncology and Osteoporotic Vertebral Fractures, along with Cauda Equina Syndrome and Spinal Infection. A highlight of the day was a round-table conference with input from consultants from a variety of specialties: 'Spinal Metastasis, When to Sharpen Your Knife'. 

Helen Apil, Rocelie Nocon and Kathryn Ramshaw were awarded Spine Star Awards and Certificates of Excellence for their outstanding contribution to spine services and patient care, which they have provided to the community and population of South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust.
