On Saturday 22nd July the rain screen cladding for the window replacement work at Sunderland Royal Hospital will be craned onto the top level of the scaffolding. To allow this to be safely carried out the main entrance doors will be closed and a fence will be installed around the road line to prevent any unwanted access around the lifting platform area.
On the afternoon of Friday 21st July, security will cordon off the parking bays outside of the main entrance. On Saturday 22nd July at 6.00am the fencing will be installed access to Catheter Lab and Urology Treatment Centre will be maintained at all times.
The crane is due to arrive at 7.00am on Saturday morning with all lifts expected to be completed within 4 hours, once the fencing has been removed the main entrance will be reopened.
Those staff who would normally use the main entrance on a Saturday morning, could we ask that you use an alterative entrance please.
