You're invited to the joint collaborative Safeguarding Conference on 20th September 2023.

The conference is held by South Tyneside & Sunderland Foundation Trust, South Tyneside and Sunderland Integrated Care Partnerships (ICP’s), South Tyneside Safeguarding Adults and Children Partnership, Sunderland Safeguarding Adult Board and Sunderland Safeguarding Children Partnership.

It will be held at Rainton Meadows Arena, Mercantile Road, Houghton le Spring, DH4 5PH from 8.30am until 4.30pm.

The the topics below will be covered:

  • Fire prevention and learning from recent cases
  • Self-Neglect and learning from South Tyneside and Sunderland Safeguarding Adult reviews around Mental Capacity and executive functioning
  • Suicide in relation to young people
  • Exploitation relating to criminal activity and knife crime
