Safeguarding Adults Week 2022 runs until this Sunday, November 27.

The STSFT Safeguarding Team has been supporting the Ann Craft Trust by sharing a daily focus on safeguarding themes in order to explore how we can all create safer cultures.

Over the course of the week so far, key safeguarding issues have been hightlighted to help spark conversations.

It has also helped raise awareness of safeguarding best practice.

The team hopes this will enable our staff to feel confident in recognising signs of abuse and neglect and recording and reporting safeguarding concerns.

The full details of the programme can be found for South Tyneside here and Sunderland here.

The final day of activities will focus on domestic abuse and how it has been exacerbated by technology in society.

It also marks the start of 16 days of action for violence against women and girls.
