Roadwork site at Sunderland Royal Hospital to allow for pipework installation

From Monday, July 25, work to install the new pipe work at the rear of Sunderland Royal Hospital will expand to block the road and one of the rear car park entrances.

As a result, access to the rear of the site via the Hylton Road end will only allow access to the Renal Unit, Bede House and Appliance Centre.

Furthermore, access to the rear of the site via the Chester Road end will only allow access to rear car park, Soft FM Deliveries and Mortuary Vehicle Entrance.

CHoICE would like to apologise for the disruption caused during these essential maintenance works and would like to further ask staff to avoid this area if at all possible to minimise disruption.

Additional measures and diversions will be installed to support these works with further updates provided as the works develop.
