Dear Colleagues,
From 8.00am on Saturday 17th until 5.00pm on Sunday 18th September, cable / duct trenching works will take place on entry to Sunderland Royal Hospital site from Chester Road where the new HV Sub-station is located.
To allow this to occur, a section of the road will be closed off for the duration of the works with footpaths still in operation.
Access via Chester Road will still be possible but there will be diversion in place through the carpark opposite the Staff Health Club as shown on the image.
As the main contractor will be operating a one way system through the carpark, egress from the hospital site will be either via Kayll road or Hylton road entrances.
Both NEAS and the Fire Brigade crews attending the hospital site have been informed of the proposed works.
CHoICE would therefore like to apologise for any inconveniences this may cause.
