It is with great sadness that we inform colleagues of the sudden passing of Scott Wright on 29th May.
Scott worked as a Wellness and Activity Officer in our community division. He worked within our Steps to Health and Recovery at Home teams.
He will be remembered by colleagues for his care and compassion, abundant enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to patients’ lives. He was known for his larger-than-life character and his colleagues described him as “simply irreplaceable”.
Scott was always devoted to his patients. They would often comment on how much he motivated them to become the best they could be. He always went above and beyond and would lift the team’s spirit with his sense of humour.
Scott was a beloved son to Arthur and Audrey and brother of Stewart and brother-in-law to Lisa. He was partner to Lisa and stepdad to Luke, Jacob and Evan, as well as a friend and colleague to many in the Trust.
His funeral will take place on Friday 17th June, at Sunderland Crematorium, at 3.15pm. His family has asked that anyone attending wear a splash of red. Flowers are welcome.
