North East and North Cumbria Staff Wellbeing Hub is open to anyone who works in health or social care in our area. They are an easy to access and highly confidential source of support in these challenging times, and you can find out more about the Hub and all they offer on their website. Many of their free wellbeing offers and home working offers can be booked directly through the website without the need to contact them.

You can find the latest update from the Hub team below:

  • Alcohol Support Service

We are pleased to let you know there is a new alcohol support offer made available to health and social care staff working in our area to access. The DrinkCoach service will be made available from the week of Monday 22 August 2022.

The introduction of DrinkCoach will provide colleagues with access to a confidential online portal where they can undertake the DrinkCoach Alcohol Test, which creates a better understanding of current alcohol intake and the associated risks. In addition, staff who are identified as drinking at hazardous and harmful levels will be able to access up to six free 1:1 coaching sessions under the scheme.

We know that the pandemic demands and high pace of work within our sector have impacted the health and wellbeing of our staff. We hope that this new service will help people who drink to do so within low risk guidelines, whilst also providing you with a practical service for you to promote amongst staff.

Further details about the service will follow in the next NENC staff wellbeing hub newsletter.

  • Homeworking Wellbeing Offers

Did you know through our Homeworking Project we have been able to expand upon our wellbeing offers, with a special focus on supporting the needs of people working from home.
