We want to remind our Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professional colleagues of the following;

  • Please remember to ensure that you keep your professional registration up to date. It’s important that you pay your fees on time when they are due, otherwise your registration will automatically lapse and you won’t be able to practice until you’re readmitted to the register – this can take between two and six weeks and Trust Policy will result in this period being without pay.
  • We know that many of you are worried about paying the fees given the current cost of living issues, however there are different ways to make payments which may help. Please visit the NMC website or the HCPC website for more information.
  • You can also claim tax relief on your registration fee, your uniform and the shoes you wear for work please click here for more information.
  • Finally, please remember to make sure that your indemnity insurance is in place, this is a requirement of the NMC.  Indemnity insurance is included in the membership of many unions so we advise that you speak to various unions to find out what they can offer you. Again you can claim tax relief on your union membership fees.

If you have any queries or concerns please speak to your line manager.
