Dear Colleague,

The National Audit of Care at the End of Life (NACEL) is a national comparative audit of the quality and outcomes of care experienced by the dying person (adults only) and those important to them during the last admission leading to death in inpatient facilities.

The Staff Reported Measure is an online survey collecting feedback from members of hospital staff who are most likely to come into contact with dying patients and those important to them. The survey looks to gather staff confidence levels in delivering care to dying patients and their views on the working culture.

You have been randomly selected to take part in the survey, however it is open to all staff who come into contact with dying patients and those important to them so please feel free to share to colleagues who may also like to contribute.  Your participation will support the ongoing development of care at the end of life in our own hospital, as well as hospitals across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
