After nearly 50 years of working in the Sunderland area we would like to wish Miriam Davison a happy retirement.

Miriam started as a cadet nurse in 1973 at the Orthopaedic and Accident hospital and then went on to do her Orthopaedic nursing certificate at the same hospital starting in 1974. She then did her SRN training at Sunderland General Hospital which she completed in 1978.

In 1992, she started as a Clinical Nurse Specialist post in Rheumatology where she remained until 2008 when she became one of our first modern matrons and has worked in Renal, Metabolic, Rheumatology, Haematology, General Outpatients, Head & Neck and latterly Vascular.
