Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week is a week-long campaign dedicated to talking about mental health problems before, during and after pregnancy. The aim is to raise public and professional awareness of perinatal mental health problems.
At South Tyneside and Sunderland we will be supporting the national campaign for MMHW from Perinatal Mental Health Partnership, sharing information via social media and with Maternity staff.
On Tuesday morning (2/5/2023) there will be drop-in Q&A sessions hosted by Lorna Middlemass our Maternity Mental Health Specialist Midwife on Delivery Suite.
Dr Rebecca Tinkler and Dr Claire Borthwick from clinical phycologists are also doing a Team’s session for all Maternity staff at 11am-12pm.
