We are pleased to announce that there has been an update to our Red Alert process. Reliance Protect have recently integrated What3Words into our solutions. When a device user activates an alarm, our personal safety devices, cameras and apps generate location coordinates via GPS or Wifi defined in terms of latitude and longitude. These are sent into our alarm handling platform in our ARC. These are now automatically and accurately translated into the correct What3Words location in our alarm handling platform. This provides another means of verifying the user location. What3Words is widely adopted by emergency services and this information will be provided to them if required during an alarm.
There is nothing for you or the device user to do. This upgrade has been completed within our systems. Please note, devices users should not say the What3Words location over audio or record it in their Update messages. Everything for the device user stays the same, simply leave your Update location and we will do the rest.
