Lease car special payments – January pay

The Trust has now been successful in getting a VAT refund on our lease car scheme.  At the moment, we have only got money back from our current provider, Knowles.  We are still waiting for a refund from NHS Fleet Solutions.   

Despite this, we still plan to make a special payment all eligible staff. We want to make sure it is fair for everyone, regardless of lease car provider.  This will only apply to staff who had a Trust lease car during certain dates.  Staff affected by this will get an email from the finance team with more details.   

We are not able to let staff know their payment amount in advance.  This is because the finance team are busy processing a high number of payments.  If staff have any questions about this after January pay date, please email STSFT.carleasequeries@nhs.net. We will do our best to help. 

Please note – this only applies to staff who are still employees of the Trust. It does also apply to those who were employed by the Trust during the qualifying period, but now work for one of our subsidiary companies (CHoICE / STICL).
