Black History Month in the UK is during the month of October. For the whole of October, activities are organised to celebrate important people and events in  history. It was first celebrated in the UK in 1987.

The focus of this session will be on how people from a diverse ethnic background have succeeded to Leadership roles. The barriers they may have faced, including and how they overcame those barriers. The aim is to inspire our NHS people and honour the accomplishments of those attending.

·       Dr. Sonali Kinra, Sessional GP and Royal College of Physicians Council and Trustee board member
