Due to staff shortages, the restaurant at Sunderland Royal Hospital will continue to be closed until Monday 6 March.

Staff working nightshift can still get ready-meals from the restaurant. You will need to heat these up in the microwave. We will also be leaving out:

  • Sandwiches
  • Jacket potatoes with fillings
  • Crisps and yoghurts

We will leave an honesty box for staff to make a contribution for these meals and snacks.

Staff food provision overnight – trial with Just Eat

Our trial with Just East for staff on nightshift started last week.  The trial will run until the end of March. Staff MUST register for a separate Trust Just Eat account using your work email address.  To register you will first need to complete this form.  This gives permission for the Trust to pass your details to Just Eat.  You will then get an activation email from Just Eat to complete your registration.  Once you have done this, you will receive a weekly allowance of £7.50 for any food you order via Just Eat whilst on nightshift. Click here for full details.
