Can all colleagues please be conscious when using microwaves and other electrical appliances in their working areas. Such appliances must be PAT tested before use and any issues such as the ones below means that they should no longer be used as they are unsafe:

- Sparks

- Rusting metal

- Built-up muck and dirt

- Damaged fuses/wiring/plugs

Microwaves have recently been concemned for these reasons after reports of unsafe appliances being used in staff areas.
