The Safeguarding team will be hosting a Hot Topic event for Domestic Abuse to be held at:

STDH Lecture Theatre on 29/09/22 from 12:30pm until 1:45pm 

SRH Lecture Theatre on 26/09/22 from 12:45pm until 2pm  

One of the topics in the event will explore the behaviour of perpetrators of domestic abuse, and support to affect change. We have been extremely fortunate to have speakers from Right Turn' who are a new service within Wearside Women in Need, commissioned to deliver this service. 

The event will also explore the journey of the victim including Refuge accommodation and moving forward for victims and their children with an Independent Domestic Abuse Advisor.
