Health inequalities showcase event

This event will showcase work and projects that are taking place across the organisation around Health inequalities.

At: Lecture Theatre, Education Centre, South Tyneside District Hospital, South Shields, NE34 0PL.
On: Thursday 8th December 2022.
From: 9am until 12noon.

We are keen to provide training and support to staff around health inequalities; what they are and what we can do to try and tackle them.  We have been working closely with the University of Sunderland to design a new and exciting course around tackling health inequalities.  

We will showcase learning and feedback from staff who have just completed the initial “tackling health inequalities” module.  This will help us shape future cohorts going forward. The showcase event will include:  
•    A number of short presentations from colleagues
•    Encouraging expressions of interest for next year’s cohort
•    Presentation stand of projects from cohort 1  
•    Opportunity to chat with colleagues from our initial cohort at the end of the main session 

Timings of the day: 
•    Registration and coffee 9am – 9.30am (Assembly room, Education Centre)
•    Main session 9.30am – 11am (Lecture Theatre, Education Centre)
•    Coffee and networking 11am – 12noon (Assembly room, Education Centre)
